Two blue sheep

We are in Belgium and seeing as Bruxelles was full we have chosen to stay in Liege. Its not very pretty but the hostel is pretty cheap and our eurail will get us where we need to go!

We left germany with a few trains and I learned that my watch is 23 seconds too fast (their trains are so efficient).

We found a nice place in Luxemburg a city where everything is expensive. We went to clervaux for a photo expo from the 50s about humanity and a battle of the bulge museam and some castle miniatures. At night we learned what eurocup is all about when our philosophical conversation was interupted by honking and screaming (PORTUGAL!). Apparently the luxemburgers support portugal but we never found out why. They do love footbal and it continued for a few hours.

The next day we saw the casemates, a gigantic maze in solid rock. We then walked through the beautiful Petrusse valley before taking a train to vianden to see a pretty castle and walk in the cute town. At ten, after a pizza we walked to this awesome park with a pirate ship and then through the rest of the city park. It is very obvious they have money because everything is so well kept and so pretty. By midnight we had made it to the future grounds of the EU and stared at the construction and a very big rabbit (the only other creature out so late). Luxebourg, as pretty as it is, is a desert at night (pictures to see later).

This morning we went straight to bruxelles where the tourist office offered no help so we took the first train to Liege (the other choice being brugge).

Tommorow its back to bruxelles for waffles and chocolate and possibly fries. Then we may see brugge.
