Our train to Milano was comical! We had taken a similar train a ways back when we went from Genova to Milano. Sad to say the Italian aren't so good with their timetables and we arrived over 2 hours late (just like the first time). It was pretty tragic seeing as we had to leave Milan at 7 am the next day. We dropped off our bags in our mirror covered hotel and headed out into the town despite the long trainride.
We certainly did not manage to see all of Milan in 5 hours but we certainly covered a lot of ground and saw many major sites. We had to skip out on the crazy 50-70% off sales in all the stores which was not so cool with Dasha. We saw the Duomo and the main squares, the castle, and the covered old expensive stuff mall. We took pictures with everything including pidgeons and managed to get some good pasta. I was still hungry though and inhaled a mosquito while we checked out the castle... It wasn't pleasant.
Needless to say we have a lot to come back for in Milan and we really enjoyed the city!
